Reset Your Brain with Allan Parker

2026 Australia Keynote Speaker of the Year

Landcare is bringing renowned communication and negotiation specialist Allan Parker to East Gippsland this December to deliver a Brain Reset workshop, helping communities develop practical skills to think clearly, manage pressure and make better decisions during challenging times.

The workshop will be held on Thursday 3 December, from 10 am to 4 pm, at the Gippsland Ag Centre. It offers local farmers and community members an opportunity to learn practical strategies to manage stress, improve communication, and respond constructively to difficult situations.

Allan Parker, from Peak Performance and recognised as Australia's Keynote Speaker of the Year for 2026, is an experienced specialist in communication, negotiation and human behaviour. Known for his engaging, practical approach, Allan works with individuals and organisations to improve how people think, communicate, and make decisions, particularly under pressure.

His Brain Reset workshops explore how pressure can influence our thinking, emotions and behaviour, sometimes making it harder to see opportunities, communicate effectively or make considered decisions. Through practical techniques and insights, participants learn how to recognise unhelpful thinking patterns, regain perspective and approach challenging conversations with greater clarity and confidence.

For farming communities, where uncertainty, difficult conditions and complex decisions are often part of everyday life, these skills can be particularly valuable. The ability to pause, think clearly and respond rather than react can improve relationships, support better decision-making and help people work through disagreements more constructively.

The project aims to strengthen individual capability and support more resilient, adaptive rural communities. By equipping people with practical tools to navigate challenging situations, the initiative also supports informed decision-making that strengthens the long-term wellbeing of rural communities and the natural environment.

Local farmers and community members interested in attending the Brain Reset workshop on 3 December are encouraged to contact Emma Orgill from Landcare in Orbost for further information.
